Book of Softening the Hearts
The righteous and the wretched will be in the Hereafter as they were in this world
Hadith Number: 1020
حدثنا الفضل بن جعفر البصري ، بمصر، حدثنا المسيب بن واضح ، حدثنا علي بن بكار ، حدثنا هشام بن حسان ، عن محمد بن سيرين ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم:"اهل المعروف في الدنيا اهل المعروف في الآخرة، واهل المنكر في الدنيا اهل المنكر في الآخرة"، لم يروه عن هشام، إلا علي، تفرد به المسيب
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who are good and righteous in this world will be good and righteous in the Hereafter, and those who are evil in this world will be evil in the Hereafter as well."
