Destruction of the Ummah due to plague and stabbing
Hadith Number: 1139
حدثنا الحسن بن علوية القطان البغدادي ، حدثنا إسماعيل بن عيسى العطار ، حدثنا إسماعيل بن زكريا ، عن مسعر ، عن زياد بن علاقة ، عن يزيد بن الحارث ، عن ابي موسى الاشعري رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم:"فناء امتي بالطعن والطاعون، قيل: يا رسول الله، هذا الطعن قد عرفناه، فما الطاعون؟، قال: وخز اعدائكم من الجن، وفي كل شهادة"، لم يروه عن مسعر بن كدام، إلا إسماعيل بن زكريا، تفرد به إسماعيل بن عيسى
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The destruction of my Ummah will be through stabbing and plague." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! We know what stabbing is, but what is plague? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is the effect of your jinn enemies, and in each there is martyrdom."
