It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), who reports from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "When the slave-girl of any one of you commits adultery, he should flog her and not set her free. If she commits adultery, he should flog her; if she commits adultery, he should flog her; if she commits adultery, then he should sell her, even if it is in exchange for a rope of hair or a braid of hair."
