Some said «سفرة‏» means writers, and others said «تصدى‏» means to be heedless. Mujahid said «لما يقض‏ ما امره» means that a person did not fully perform what he was commanded, and Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said «ترهقها‏ قترة» means that hardship will befall him. «مسفرة‏» means shining. Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said «سفرة‏» means writers; in Surah al-Jumu‘ah, the word «أسفارا‏» is from the same root, meaning books. «تلهى‏» means to be heedless, they say «الأسفار» , which is in the meaning of books. «سفر‏.‏» is the plural with kasrah on the letter seen.

Narrated Aisha: The Prophet said, "Such a person as recites the Qur'an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Qur'an by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward."
