956/1256 (Hasan al-isnad, mawquf) from Kathir ibn Ubayd who said: "When a child was born among them—meaning among her family—Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, would not ask: 'Is it a boy or a girl?' She would say: 'Was it created sound?' If it was said: 'Yes,' she would say: 'Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.'"
