The Book of Prayer
(الدُّعَاءُ بَيْنَ الأَذَانِ وَالإِقَامَةِ مُسْتَجَابٌ)
(Supplication Between Adhan and Iqamah is Answered)
Hadith Number: 670
670 - وعن ابى امامة - رضي الله عنه -، او بعض اصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: إن بلالا اخذ في الإقامة، فلما ان قال: قد قامت الصلاة، قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:"اقامها الله وادامها". وقال في سائر الإقامة كنحو حديث عمر في الاذان. رواه ابو داود
Abu Umama, or one of the companions of God’s Messenger, said that Bilal began the iqama, and when he said,“The time for prayer has come,”God’s Messenger said,“May God establish it and cause it to continue!”During the whole of the iqama he made such responses as are found in ‘Umar’s tradition about the adhan. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
