The Book of Prayer
(سُنَّةُ الذَّبْحِ فِي مَصْلَى الْعِيدِ)
(It is Sunnah to slaughter the animal at the Eidgah)
Hadith Number: 1457
1457 - وعن ابن عمر - رضي الله عنهما - قال: كان النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - يذبح وينحر بالمصلى. رواه البخاري.
Ibn ‘Umar said that the Prophet used to sacrifice and slaughter at the place of prayer. Bukhari transmitted it. (Cf. Chap. 48a)
