The Book of Funerals
(الرُّقَى الْمَسْنُونَةُ لِلْوَجَعِ)
(The Sunnah Ruqyah for Pain)
Hadith Number: 1533
1533 - وعن عثمان بن ابي العاص - رضي الله عنه -: انه شكا إلى رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - وجعا يجده في جسده، فقال له رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم -:"ضع يدك على الذي يالم من جسدك وقل: بسم الله ثلاثا ، وقل سبع مرات: اعوذ بعزة الله وقدرته من شر ما اجد واحاذر"قال: ففعلت. فاذهب الله ما كان بي. رواه مسلم.
Uthman b. Abul ‘As said he complained to God’s messenger of a pain he had in his body, and he told him to put his hand on the part of his body which was sore and say three times“In the name of God,”and seven times,“I seek refuge in God’s might and power from the evil of what I am experiencing and trying to avert.”He said he did so, and God removed his trouble. Muslim transmitted it.
