The Book of Funerals
(وَضْعُ الْعُودِ عَلَى الْكِتْفِ عِنْدَ حَمْلِ الجُنَازَةِ)
(Placing the wooden plank on the shoulder while carrying the funeral)
Hadith Number: 1671
وقد روى في «شرح السنة» : ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم حمل جنازة سعد ابن معاذ بين العمودين
In Sharh as-sunna it is reported that the Prophet carried the bier of Sa‘d b. Mu'adh between the two poles.
