The Book of Zakat
(الْإِنْفَاقُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ أَكْبَرُ الصَّدَقَاتِ)
(Spending on family is the greatest charity)
Hadith Number: 1931
1931 - وعن ابي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم -:"دينار انفقته في سبيل الله، ودينار تصدقت به في رقبة، ودينار تصدقت به على مسكين، ودينار انفقته على اهلك . اعظمها اجرا الذي انفقته على اهلك". رواه مسلم.
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying,“Of a dinar you spend as a contribution in God’s path, or to set free a slave, or as sadaqa given to a poor man, or in support of your family, the one spent in support of your family produces the greatest reward.”Muslim transmitted it.
