The Book of Zakat
(هَلْ يَجُوزُ لِلزَّوْجَةِ إِنْفَاقُ مَالِ زَوْجِهَا؟)
(Can a wife spend from her husband’s wealth?)
Hadith Number: 1947
وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «إذ انفقت المراة من طعام بيتها غير مفسدة كان لها اجرها بما انفقت ولزوجها اجره بما كسب وللخازن مثل ذلك لا ينقص بعضهم اجر بعض شيئا»
‘A’isha reported God’s messenger as saying,“When a woman gives some of the food in her house, not wasting it, she will have her reward for what she has given and her husband will have his for what he earned. The same applies to a storekeeper. In no respect does the one diminish the reward of the other.”(Bukhari and Muslim.)
