The Book of Legal Punishments
(إِذَا بَلَغَ الذَّنْبُ إِلَى القَاضِي وَجَبَتِ العُقُوبَةُ)
(When the sin reaches the judge, punishment becomes obligatory)
Hadith Number: 3568
3568 - وعن عمرو بن شعيب، عن ابيه، عن جده عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص رضي الله عنهما، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (تعافوا الحدود فيما بينكم، فما بلغني من حد فقد وجب). رواه ابو داود والنسائي.
‘Amr b. Shu'aib, on his father’s authority, told that his grandfather, ‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr b. al-‘As, reported God’s Messenger as saying,“Forgive the infliction of prescribed penalties among yourselves, for any prescribed penalty of which I hear must be carried out.”Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it.
