(مَنْعُ أَكْلِ الْقِطَّةِ وَبَيْعِهَا وَشِرَائِهَا)
(Prohibition of eating, selling, or buying a cat)
Hadith Number: 4128
4128 - وعن جابر - رضي الله عنه - ان النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - نهى عن اكل الهرة واكل ثمنها . رواه ابو داود، والترمذي.
Jabir said the Prophet forbade eating cats or what is paid for them. 1 1. This might be either what was paid in kind, or what was bought with money paid for them. Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it.
