The Book of Foods
(بَيَانُ لَعْقِ الْيَدِ أَوْ جَعْلِ غَيْرِهِ يَلْعَقُهَا)
(Statement on licking the hand or letting others lick it)
Hadith Number: 4166
4166 - وعن ابن عباس - رضي الله عنهما: ان النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - قال:"إذا اكل احدكم فلا يمسح يده حتى يلعقها او يلعقها". متفق عليه.
Ibn ‘Abbas reported the Prophet as saying,“When one of you eats he must not wipe his hand till he licks it, or gives it to someone to lick.”(Bukhari and Muslim.)
