The Book of Foods
(زُهْدُ سَيِّدِنَا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ)
(The asceticism of our Master, peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 4170
4170 - وعن انس - رضي الله عنه - قال: ما اعلم النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - راى رغيفا مرققا حتى لحق بالله ، ولا راى شاة سميطا بعينه قط". رواه البخاري.
Anas said he was not aware of the Prophet having seen a thin loaf till he met God, [i.e. during his lifetime.] nor did he ever see with his eye a sheep roasted in its skin. Bukhari transmitted it.
