The Book of Foods
(النَّهْيُ عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الْمَاءِ)
(Prohibition of blowing into water)
Hadith Number: 4279
4279 - وعن ابي سعيد الخدري - رضي الله عنه - ان النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - نهى عن النفخ في الشراب . فقال رجل: القذاة اراها في الإناء. قال:"اهرقها". قال: فإني لا اروى من نفس واحد. قال:"فابن القدح عن فيك، ثم تنفس". رواه الترمذي، والدارمي.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri told that the Prophet forbade blowing into a drink. When a man said he saw specks in the vessel he told him to pour them out, and when he said his thirst was not quenched in one breath he told him to remove the cup from his mouth and take a breath. Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it.
