The Book of Foods
(لَهُ لَيْلَةٌ فِي السَّنَةِ تَنْزِلُ فِيهَا الْوَبَاءَاتُ)
(There is a night in the year when plagues descend)
Hadith Number: 4298
4298 - وفي رواية له، قال:"غطوا الإناء، واوكوا السقاء ; فإن في السنة ليلة ينزل فيها وباء لا يمر بإناء ليس عليه غطاء او سقاء ليس عليه وكاء إلا نزل فيه من ذلك الوباء".
In a version by him he said,“Cover the vessel and tie up the water-skin, for there is a night in the year when pestilence descends, and it does not pass an uncovered vessel or an untied water-skin without some of that pesti- lence descending into it.”
