The Book of Clothing
(لَا جَوَازَ لِلرَّجُلِ فِي دَهَانِ ٱلزَّعْفَرَانِ عَلَى ٱلْجِسْمِ)
(It is not permissible for a man to apply saffron on the body)
Hadith Number: 4434
4434 - وعن انس - رضي الله عنه - قال: نهى رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - ان يتزعفر الرجل . متفق عليه.
Anas said the Prophet forbade men to use saffron. (Mirqat, iv, 461, says this applies to their clothing and their bodies, as it is a female custom but does not prohibit a small use of it.) (Bukhari and Muslim.)
