The Book of Clothing
(لَاعِبُ الشِّطْرَنْجِ مُذْنِبٌ)
(The chess player is a wrongdoer)
Hadith Number: 4511
4511 - وعن ابن شهاب، ان ابا موسى الاشعري قال: لا يلعب بالشطرنج إلا خاطئ .
Ibn Shihab told that Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari used to say that only a sinner plays chess.
