(رَدُّ سَلَامِ الْيَهُودِ بِقَوْلِ «وَعَلَيْكَ» فَقَطْ)
(Responding to the greeting of Jews with only“Wa Alaik”)
Hadith Number: 4636
4636 - وعن ابن عمر - رضي الله عنهما - قال: قال رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم:"إذا سلم عليكم اليهود، فإنما يقول احدهم: السام عليكم . فقل: وعليك"متفق عليه.
Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the Jews greet you, one of them says: 'As-Saam Alaik' (death be upon you), so you should reply to them: 'Wa Alaik' (and upon you)." Agreed upon.
