The Book of Heart-Softeners
(مَدْحُ العَمَلِ الصَّالِحِ بِنِيَّةٍ صَادِقَةٍ)
(Praising a righteous deed done with sincere intention)
Hadith Number: 5317
5317 - وعن ابي ذر - رضي الله عنه - قال: قيل لرسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم: ارايت الرجل يعمل العمل من الخير ويحمده الناس عليه ، وفي رواية: يحبه الناس عليه. قال:"تلك عاجل بشرى المؤمن". رواه مسلم.
Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: It was said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "Tell us, a man does a good deed and people praise him for it." In another narration: "People like him for it." (What is the ruling on this?) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is an advance glad tiding for the believer." Narrated by Muslim.
