(The depth of Hell and the vastness of Paradise)
Hadith Number: 5629
5629 - وعن عتبة بن غزوان قال: ذكر لنا ان الحجر يلقى من شفة جهنم فيهوي فيها سبعين خريفا لا يدرك لها قعرا ، والله لتملان، ولقد ذكر لنا ان ما بين مصرعين من مصاريع الجنة مسيرة اربعين سنة ، ولياتين عليها يوم وهو كظيظ من الزحام. رواه مسلم.
`Utba b. Ghazwan said:It was mentioned to us that a stone will be thrown from the lip of Jahannam and fall in it for the space of seventy years without reaching the bottom. 'I swear by God that Jahannam will certainly be filled. It was also mentioned to us that the space between the two halves of the gates of paradise is a distance of forty years journey, yet a day will come when they will be full because of the crowding. Muslim transmitted it.
