The Book of Merits
(الحَقُّ عَلَى لِسَانِ حَضْرَةِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ)
(Truth on the tongue of Hazrat Umar, may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 6043
6043 - وفي رواية ابي داود، عن ابي ذر - رضي الله عنه - قال: سمعت رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - يقول: (إن الله وضع الحق على لسان عمر يقول به).
In Abu Dawud's version on the authority of Abu Dharr he said, "God has placed truth on `Umar's tongue and he speaks it." Ali said. We did not think it impossible that the Sakina [*] should speak with `Umar's tongue. Baihaqi transmitted it in Dala'il an nubuwa.
