The Book of Merits
(تَضْحِيَةُ وَالِدَيْ حَضْرَةِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ)
(Sacrificing the parents for Hazrat Sa’d ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 6112
وعن علي قال: ما سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم جمع ابويه لاحد إلا لسعد بن مالك فإني سمعته يقول يوم احد: «يا سعد ارم فداك ابي وامي» . متفق عليه
`Ali said he heard the Prophet name his parents together for no one but Sa'd b. Malik, for he had heard him say at the battle of Uhud, ``Shoot, Sa'd, my father and my mother be your ransom!" (Bukhari and Muslim.)
