The Book of Merits
(فَضِيلَةُ النَّاسِ الَّذِينَ جَاءُوا بَعْدَ الصَّحَابَةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ)
(The virtue of the people who came after the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 6284
وعن ابي هريرة ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «إن من اشد امتي لي حبا ناسا يكونون بعدي يود احدهم لو رآني باهله وماله» . رواه مسلم
Abu Huraira reported God's messenger saying, "Among my people some of those who love me most will be people who come after my time who would be prepared to sacrifice their families and their property if they could see me." Muslim transmitted it.
