حَدِيثُ خَادِمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of the servant of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 16076
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا خالد يعني الواسطي ، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن يحيى الانصاري ، عن زياد بن ابي زياد مولى بني مخزوم، عن خادم للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجل او امراة، قال: كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مما يقول للخادم:" الك حاجة؟" , قال: حتى كان ذات يوم، فقال: يا رسول الله، حاجتي , قال:" وما حاجتك؟" , قال: حاجتي ان تشفع لي يوم القيامة , قال:" ومن دلك على هذا؟" , قال: ربي , قال:" إما لا فاعني بكثرة السجود".
A servant companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him), about whom the narrator is unsure whether they were male or female, reports that the Prophet (peace be upon him) would often ask the servant if they needed anything or had any work. One day, in the same manner, I said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! I have a request. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: What is your request? I said: Please intercede for me on the Day of Judgment. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: How did this thought come to you? The servant replied: Allah placed it in my heart. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Then help me by performing many prostrations.
