حَدِیث زِیَادِ بنِ الحَارِثِ الصّدَائِیِّ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Hadith of Ziyad ibn al-Harith al-Sada'i (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 17537
حدثنا وكيع ، عن سفيان ، عن عبد الرحمن بن زياد ، عن زياد بن نعيم الحضرمي ، عن زياد بن الحارث الصدائي ، انه اذن، فاراد بلال ان يقيم، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " يا اخا صداء، إن الذي اذن، فهو يقيم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ziyad bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he gave the adhan. At the time of iqamah, Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to say the iqamah, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O caller brother! The person who gives the adhan should also say the iqamah."

حدثنا محمد بن يزيد الواسطي ، حدثنا الإفريقي ، عن زياد بن نعيم الحضرمي ، عن زياد بن الحارث الصدائي ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" اذن يا اخا صداء" قال: فاذنت، وذلك حين اضاء الفجر، قال: فلما توضا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قام إلى الصلاة، فاراد بلال ان يقيم، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " يقيم اخو صداء، فإن من اذن، فهو يقيم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ziyad bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that once at the time of dawn, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to give the adhan, so I gave the adhan. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and stood for prayer, at the time of iqamah, Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to say the iqamah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Let your brother who gave the adhan say the iqamah, because the one who gives the adhan should also say the iqamah."
