It is narrated from Hazrat Atiyyah Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: The giving hand is better than the lower (receiving) hand.

It is narrated from Hazrat Atiyyah Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a king laughs loudly without reason, Satan overcomes him.

Abu Wa'il says that once we were sitting with 'Urwah bin Muhammad when a man came and said some things that made him angry. When he felt his anger increasing, he got up and left. After a little while, he returned, having performed ablution, and said: My father told me, on the authority of my grandfather who had the honor of sitting with the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), that the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: Anger is an effect of Satan, and Satan was created from fire, and fire is extinguished with water. Therefore, when any of you becomes angry, he should perform ablution.
