First Part of Musnad of the Kufans
حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of a man from Ashja' (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 18290
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن حصين ، عن سالم بن ابي الجعد ، عن رجل منا من اشجع، قال:" راى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم علي خاتما من ذهب، فامرني ان اطرحه ، فطرحته إلى يومي هذا".
It is narrated from a companion of Banu Ashja‘ (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me wearing a gold ring, so he ordered me to take it off. Thus, I have kept it off until today (and never wore it again).
