حَدِيثُ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Najiyah al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 18943
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن ناجية الخزاعي ، قال: وكان صاحب بدن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: قلت: كيف اصنع بما عطب من البدن؟ قال: " انحره، واغمس نعله في دمه، واضرب صفحته، وخل بين الناس وبينه، فلياكلوه" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Najiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) (who was responsible for the camels of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) that I asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) what should I do if a sacrificial camel is about to die? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Slaughter it, dip its sandal in its blood and rub it on its forehead, and leave it for the people so that they may eat it.

حدثنا ابو معاوية ، حدثنا هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن ناجية الخزاعي ، وكان صاحب بدن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، كيف اصنع بما عطب من الإبل او البدن؟ قال: " انحرها ثم الق نعلها في دمها، ثم خل عنها وعن الناس، فلياكلوها" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Najiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was responsible for the camels of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), that I asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): If a sacrificial camel is about to die, what should I do? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Slaughter it, dip its sandal in its blood and rub it on its forehead, and leave it for the people so that they may eat it.
