First Part of Musnad of the Basrans
حَدِيثُ عَمْرِو بْنِ تَغْلِبَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of 'Amr ibn Taghlib (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 20672
حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا جرير بن حازم ، قال: سمعت الحسن ، حدثنا عمرو بن تغلب ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اتاه شيء، فاعطاه ناسا، وترك ناسا وقال جرير: اعطى رجالا، وترك رجالا قال: فبلغه عن الذين ترك انهم عتبوا، وقالوا: قال: فصعد المنبر، فحمد الله، واثنى عليه، ثم قال:" إني اعطي ناسا، وادع ناسا، واعطي رجالا، وادع رجالا قال عفان: قال: ذي وذي والذي ادع احب إلي من الذي اعطي، اعطي اناسا لما في قلوبهم من الجزع والهلع، واكل قوما إلى ما جعل الله في قلوبهم من الغنى والخير، منهم عمرو بن تغلب"، قال: وكنت جالسا تلقاء وجه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: ما احب ان لي بكلمة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حمر النعم .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Taghlib that once something came to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) gave it to some people and left out some others. Later, the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to know that those whom he had left out were upset and talking among themselves. The Prophet (peace be upon him) then ascended the pulpit, and after praising and glorifying Allah, said: "I give to some people and leave out others, even though the ones I leave out are more beloved to me than those to whom I give. I give to some people only because their hearts are filled with impatience and miserliness, and I entrust some people to the richness and goodness that Allah has placed in their hearts. Among them is Amr bin Taghlib as well." I was sitting right in front of the Prophet (peace be upon him) at that time. I would not like to have red camels in exchange for this statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Hadith Number: 20673
حدثنا وهب بن جرير ، حدثنا ابي ، قال: سمعت الحسن ، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن تغلب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إني اعطي اقواما، وارد آخرين، والذين ادع احب إلي من الذين اعطي، اعطي اقواما لما اخاف من هلعهم وجزعهم، واكل اقواما إلى ما جعل الله في قلوبهم من الغنى والخير، منهم عمرو بن تغلب"، قال: قال عمرو: فوالله ما احب ان لي بكلمة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حمر النعم .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Taghlib that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I give to some people and leave out others, even though the one I leave out is more beloved to me than the one to whom I give. I give to some people only because their hearts are filled with impatience and miserliness, and I entrust some people to the richness and goodness that Allah has placed in their hearts. Among them is Amr bin Taghlib as well. At that time, I was sitting right in front of the Prophet (peace be upon him). I would not like to have red camels in exchange for this statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

حدثنا وهب بن جرير ، حدثنا ابي ، قال: سمعت الحسن ، يقول: حدثنا عمرو بن تغلب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " تقاتلون بين يدي الساعة قوما ينتعلون الشعر، ولتقاتلن قوما كان وجوههم المجان المطرقة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Taghlib that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Before the Day of Judgment, you will fight against a people who wear shoes made of hair, and you will also fight against a people whose faces will be like hammered bows.

Hadith Number: 20675
حدثنا اسود بن عامر ، حدثنا جرير بن حازم ، حدثنا الحسن ، حدثنا عمرو بن تغلب ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" من اشراط الساعة ان تقاتلوا قوما عراض الوجوه، كان وجوههم المجان المطرقة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Taghlib that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Before the Day of Judgment, you will fight against a people whose faces will be like flattened bows.

Hadith Number: 20676
حدثنا اسود بن عامر ، حدثنا جرير ، عن الحسن ، عن عمرو بن تغلب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" إن من اشراط الساعة ان تقاتلوا اقواما ينتعلون الشعر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Taghlib that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Before the Day of Judgment, you will fight against a people who wear shoes made of hair.

حدثنا عفان ، حدثنا جرير بن حازم ، قال: سمعت الحسن ، حدثنا عمرو بن تغلب ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" إن من اشراط الساعة ان تقاتلوا قوما، نعالهم الشعر او ينتعلون الشعر، وإن من اشراط الساعة ان تقاتلوا قوما عراض الوجوه، كان وجوههم المجان المطرقة" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Taghlib that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Before the Day of Judgment, you will fight against a people who wear shoes made of hair, and you will also fight against a people whose faces will be like hammered bows.
