Musnad of the Ansar
حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of a man from the Ansar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 23682
حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، اخبرنا ابن جريج ، اخبرني زيد بن اسلم ، عن عطاء بن يسار ، عن رجل من الانصار، ان الانصاري اخبر عطاء انه قبل امراته على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو صائم، فامر امراته فسالت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن ذلك، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن رسول الله يفعل ذلك"، فاخبرته امراته، فقال: إن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يرخص له في اشياء، فارجعي إليه، فقولي له، فرجعت إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقالت: قال: إن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يرخص له في اشياء، فقال: " انا اتقاكم لله، واعلمكم بحدود الله" .
It is narrated from an Ansari companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, during the time of Prophethood, he kissed his wife while fasting. Then, upon realizing, he mentioned it to his wife. So she asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Prophet of Allah also does this." The woman informed her husband, and he said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is permitted to do many things. Go back and tell him this." So she went back and said: "He says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is permitted to do many things." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am the one among you who fears Allah the most and knows His limits the best."
