كِتَابُ وُقُوْتِ الصَّلَاةِ

بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنْ دُخُولِ الْمَسْجِدِ بِرِيحِ الثُّومِ وَتَغْطِيَةِ الْفَمِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Hadith Number: 29
حدثني يحيى، عن مالك، عن ابن شهاب ، عن سعيد بن المسيب ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من اكل من هذه الشجرة فلا يقرب مساجدنا، يؤذينا بريح الثوم"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever has eaten from this tree (i.e., garlic), let him not come near our mosques, so that he does not harm us with its smell."

Hadith Number: 30
وحدثني، عن مالك، عن عبد الرحمن بن المجبر ، انه كان يرى سالم بن عبد الله ، " إذا راى الإنسان يغطي فاه وهو يصلي جبذ الثوب عن فيه جبذا شديدا، حتى ينزعه عن فيه"
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Mujbir that whenever Sayyiduna Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) saw someone covering his face during prayer, he would pull the cloth forcefully until his face became uncovered.
