It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The prayer in congregation is twenty-seven degrees more virtuous than the prayer performed alone."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The prayer in congregation is twenty-five times superior to the prayer offered alone."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul! I intended to order that firewood be gathered, then I would order for the prayer to be established, and the call to prayer be given for it, then I would appoint a man to lead the prayer and he would lead it, then I would go to those people who did not attend the congregation and burn their houses over them. By Him in Whose hand is my soul! If any of them knew that he would get a meaty bone or two good hoofs of a goat, he would surely come to the 'Isha prayer."

It is narrated from Hazrat Busar bin Saeed that Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The best prayer is that which is offered in homes, except for the obligatory prayer.
