It is narrated from Muhammad bin Sirin that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting among the people and the people were reciting the Qur'an. He went to relieve himself and then returned and began to recite the Qur'an. A person said: "Do you recite the Word of Allah without ablution?" Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Who told you that this is prohibited? Did Musaylimah say so?"
