It reached Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, that Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, when narrating that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to kiss while fasting, would say: Who among you is more able to control his desires than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?

Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: Hisham bin Urwah said: Urwah bin Zubair said that kissing does not lead a fasting person towards a good deed.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: What is the ruling on a fasting person kissing? He permitted it for an old man and considered it disliked for a young man.

It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to prohibit a fasting person from kissing and intimacy.
