Chapter on Inheritance of the Child of Li'an
Hadith Number: 1171
حدثني يحيى، عن مالك، انه بلغه، ان عروة بن الزبير، كان يقول في ولد الملاعنة، وولد الزنا:" إنه إذا مات ورثته امه حقها في كتاب الله تعالى، وإخوته لامه حقوقهم، ويرث البقية موالي امه إن كانت مولاة، وإن كانت عربية ورثت حقها، وورث إخوته لامه حقوقهم، وكان ما بقي للمسلمين .
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said that Urwah bin Zubair used to say that when the child of li'an and the child of adultery die, their mother will inherit from them according to her share, and their maternal brothers will also inherit. Whatever remains will go to the mawla of the mother, if the mother was a slave woman who was set free. If she was a free Arab woman, then after giving the shares to the mother and brothers, whatever remains will go to the Bayt al-Mal.

قال مالك: وبلغني عن سليمان بن يسار مثل ذلك، وعلى ذلك ادركت اهل العلم ببلدنا
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: It has also reached me from Sulayman ibn Yasar in the same way, and I found the people of knowledge upon this.
