What is Reported Regarding Solitude During Travel for Men and Women
Hadith Number: 1792
حدثني مالك، عن عبد الرحمن بن حرملة ، عن عمرو بن شعيب ، عن ابيه ، عن جده ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " الراكب شيطان، والراكبان شيطانان، والثلاثة ركب"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A single traveler is a devil, and two traveling together are two devils, and three are a group."

Hadith Number: 1793
وحدثني مالك، عن عبد الرحمن بن حرملة ، عن سعيد بن المسيب ، انه كان يقول: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " الشيطان يهم بالواحد والاثنين، فإذا كانوا ثلاثة لم يهم بهم"
It is narrated from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Satan targets (to cause harm to) one and two, but when there are three people, he does not target them."

وحدثني مالك، عن سعيد بن ابي سعيد المقبري ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا يحل لامراة تؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر، تسافر مسيرة يوم وليلة، إلا مع ذي محرم منها"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for one day and night except with a mahram."
