What is Reported Regarding the Inheritance of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 1831
حدثني مالك، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عروة بن الزبير ، عن عائشة ام المؤمنين، ان ازواج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم حين توفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، اردن ان يبعثن عثمان بن عفان إلى ابي بكر الصديق، فيسالنه ميراثهن من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقالت لهن عائشة: اليس قد قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لا نورث، ما تركنا فهو صدقة"
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) after his passing wished to send Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and request their inheritance. So Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Did not the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "We have no heirs; whatever we leave behind is charity."

وحدثني مالك، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا يقتسم ورثتي دنانير، ما تركت بعد نفقة نسائي ومئونة عاملي فهو صدقة"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After me, my heirs will not distribute my inheritance. Whatever I leave behind, after providing for my wives and the expenses of my worker, is all charity."
