احْفَظِ اللَّهَ يَحْفَظْكَ
Guard Allah and He will guard you
Hadith Number: 745
745 - اخبرنا ابو محمد عبد الرحمن بن عمر بن النحاس، ابنا احمد بن إبراهيم بن جامع، ثنا علي بن عبد العزيز، ثنا معلى بن مهدي، ابنا ابو شهاب، ثنا عيسى بن محمد القرشي، عن ابن ابي مليكة، عن ابن عباس، قال: قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «يا غلام احفظ الله يحفظك، احفظ الله تجده امامك، تعرف إليه في الرخاء يعرفك في الشدة، واعلم ان ما اصابك لم يكن ليخطئك، وما اخطاك لم يكن ليصيبك، واعلم ان الخلائق لو اجتمعوا على ان يعطوك شيئا لم يرد الله ان يعطيك لم يقدروا عليه، او يصرفوا عنك شيئا اراد الله ان يصيبك به لم يقدروا على ذلك، وإذا سالت فسل الله، وإذا استعنت فاستعن بالله، واعلم ان النصر مع الصبر، وان الفرج مع الكرب، وان مع العسر يسرا، واعلم ان القلم جرى بما هو كائن»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“O boy! Guard (the commands of) Allah, Allah will guard you. Guard (the rights of) Allah, you will find Him before you. Recognize Him in times of ease, He will recognize you in times of hardship. And know that whatever has reached you could not have missed you, and whatever has missed you could not have reached you. And know that if all of creation were to gather together to benefit you with something that Allah has not decreed for you, they would not be able to do so. Or if they were to gather to harm you with something that Allah has not decreed for you, they would not be able to do so. And when you ask, ask Allah. And when you seek help, seek help from Allah. And know that indeed help comes with patience, relief comes with affliction, and with hardship comes ease. And know that whatever is to happen, the pen has already written it.”
