Hadiths 1001 to 1200
إِنَّكَ لَا تَدَعُ شَيْئًا اتِّقَاءَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا أَعْطَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ
You do not leave something for the sake of Allah except that Allah gives you something better
Hadith Number: 1135
1135 - اخبرنا محمد بن ابي سعيد، ثنا زاهر بن احمد، ابنا محمد بن معاذ، ابنا الحسين بن الحسن، ابنا سعيد بن سليمان، ابنا سليمان بن المغيرة، عن حميد بن هلال، عن ابي قتادة، وابي الدهماء، قالا: اتينا على رجل من اهل البادية، فقال: اخذ بيدي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فعلمني مما علمه الله، فكان مما حفظته عنه: «إنك لا تدع شيئا اتقاء الله إلا اعطاك الله خيرا منه»
Abu Qatadah and Abu Dahma say that we came to a Bedouin man, and he said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, took my hand and taught me those things which Allah Almighty had taught him. So among the things that I remembered from what I heard from him, one was this: "Indeed, whatever you leave out of fear of Allah, Allah will grant you something better than it."

Hadith Number: 1136
1136 - انا به عبد الرحمن بن عمر، انا ابن الاعرابي، نا ابن عفان، نا عبد الملك بن إبراهيم، نا سليمان بن المغيرة، نا حميد بن هلال، بإسناده مثله، وفيه عن ابي قتادة، وابي بلال رجل قد سماه
This hadith is also narrated through another chain from Humaid bin Hilal with his chain in the same manner, but in it, this hadith is narrated from Abu Qatadah and Abu Bilal, and they also mentioned the name of that man.

Hadith Number: 1137
1137 - وانا ابو محمد التجيبي، نا إسماعيل بن يعقوب البزاز، نا إسماعيل بن إسحاق القاضي، نا علي بن المديني، نا سفيان، نا ايوب، عن حميد بن هلال، عن رجل، قال: اتيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وقد القي له منبر خلت قوائمه من حديد، فحفظت مما علمني انه قال: «إنك لا تدع شيئا ابتغاء وجه الله، إلا اثابك الله ما هو خير منه»
Humaid bin Hilal narrates from a man, who said that I presented myself before the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), a pulpit was placed for you whose legs were of iron, I memorized what you taught me, you said: "Indeed, whatever you leave for the sake of seeking Allah's pleasure, Allah will grant you something better in its place."

Hadith Number: 1138
1138 - نا إسماعيل بن يعقوب، نا إسماعيل بن إسحاق، نا مسدد، نا يزيد بن زريع، نا خالد الحذاء، عن حميد بن هلال، عن الذي، سال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم او عمن سمعه منه قال: اتيت نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يخطب فقلت: علمني مما علمك الله، فنزل والقي له كرسي قوائمه حديد فقال: «إنك لا تدع شيئا اتقاء الله إلا بدلك الله مكانه خيرا منه» قال رفاعة العدوي: «انتهيت إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يخطب فقلت يا رسول الله، رجل غريب جاء يسال عن دينه لا يدري ما دينه، قال فجاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وترك خطبته فاتي بكرسي خلت قوائمه حديدا، قال فقعد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فجعل يعلمني مما علمه الله، ثم اتى على خطبته فاتى عليها»
Humaid bin Hilal narrates from the person who either asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) or heard from him. He said: I presented myself before the Prophet (peace be upon him) while he was delivering a sermon. I said: Teach me from the knowledge that Allah has granted you. The Prophet (peace be upon him) descended (from the pulpit), and a chair made of palm bark with iron legs was placed for him. Then he said: "Indeed, whatever you leave for the sake of Allah out of fear of Him, Allah will grant you something better in its place." Rifaa’ah ‘Adawi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I presented myself before the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) while he was delivering a sermon. I said: O Messenger of Allah! I am a stranger, I have come to ask you about the religion, I do not have knowledge about the religion. He says that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) descended (from the pulpit), interrupted his sermon, then a chair made of palm bark with iron legs was brought, and he began to teach me what Allah Almighty had taught him. Then he (again) ascended the pulpit for his sermon.
