Perhaps a carrier of wisdom conveys it to one more receptive than himself
Hadith Number: 1422
Sayyiduna Mu’adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:“May Allah keep fresh the person who hears my words and does not add anything to them. Sometimes the bearer of wisdom and knowledge conveys it to one who preserves it better than himself. There are three things in which a believer’s heart never betrays: acting sincerely for Allah, wishing well for the rulers, and adhering to the community of Muslims, for their supplication encompasses them from all sides.”
