Hadiths 1401 to 1499
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit
Hadith Number: 1466
1466 - اخبرنا ابو إسحاق إبراهيم بن علي الغازي، ثنا ابو بكر احمد بن عبيد بن احمد الرعيني الصفار، ثنا ابو يعقوب يوسف بن موسى المروزي، ثنا علي بن حجر، ثنا خلف بن خليفة، عن حفص، هو ابن عمرو ابن اخي انس، عن انس بن مالك، قال: كان من دعاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «اللهم إني اعوذ بك من علم لا ينفع، وقلب لا يخشع، ودعاء لا يسمع، ونفس لا تشبع، اعوذ بك من شر هؤلاء الاربع»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that among the supplications of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was this: "O Allah! Indeed, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that is of no benefit, from a heart that does not fear, from a supplication that is not accepted, and from a soul that is never satisfied. I seek refuge in You from the evil of these four things."

Hadith Number: 1467
1467 - واخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن عمر الصفار التجيبي، ثنا احمد بن إبراهيم بن جامع، ثنا علي بن عبد العزيز، قراءة عليه، ثنا سعيد بن منصور، انا خلف بن خليفة، بإسناده مثله، وقال في آخره: «اللهم إني اعوذ بك من شر هؤلاء الاربع»
This narration is also reported through another chain from Khulaf bin Khalifah with his chain, and at its end it is: "O Allah! Indeed, I seek refuge in You from the evil of these four things."

Hadith Number: 1468
1468 - اخبرنا ابو مسلم، محمد بن احمد الكاتب، ثنا ابو القاسم البغوي، ثنا ابو نصر التمار، ثنا حماد بن سلمة، عن قتادة، عن انس، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يقول: «اللهم إني اعوذ بك من علم لا ينفع، وعمل لا يرفع، وقلب لا يخشع، وقول لا يسمع»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "O Allah! Indeed, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that is of no benefit, from deeds that do not ascend to Your presence, from a heart that does not fear (You), and from a supplication that is not heard."
