جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ فُضُولِ التَطْهِيرِ وَالِاسْتِحْبَابِ مِنْ غَيْرِ إِيجَابٍ

(170) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ بِالْوُضُوءِ لِلْجُنُبِ عِنْدَ إِرَادَةِ الْأَكْلِ أَمْرُ نَدْبٍ وَإِرْشَادٍ وَفَضِيلَةٍ وَإِبَاحَةٍ.
Chapter 170: Evidence that the command for ablution before eating for one in major impurity is a recommendation
Hadith Number: 218
نا علي بن خشرم ، اخبرنا عيسى يعني ابن يونس ، عن يونس بن يزيد الايلي ، عن الزهري ، عن عروة ، عن عائشة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان " إذا اراد ان يطعم وهو جنب، غسل يديه ثم طعم"
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to eat something while in a state of janabah, he would wash both his hands and then eat.
