(197) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ غُسْلِ الْكَافِرِ إِذَا أَسْلَمَ بِالْمَاءِ وَالسِّدْرِ
Chapter 197: Recommendation for a new Muslim to bathe with water and lotus leaves
Hadith Number: 254
نا محمد بن بشار بندار ، نا عبد الرحمن ، نا سفيان ، عن الاغر بن الصباح ، عن خليفة بن الحصين ، عن قيس بن عاصم ، انه اسلم،" فامره النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ان يغتسل بماء وسدر"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qais bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he accepted Islam, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered him to perform ghusl (ritual bath) with water and lote tree (berry) leaves.

نا ابو موسى محمد بن المثنى ، حدثنا يحيى ، عن سفيان ، عن الاغر ، عن خليفة بن الحصين ، عن قيس بن عاصم ، انه اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فاستخلاه، فاسلم" فامره ان يغتسل بماء وسدر"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qais bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and requested to meet him in private. (The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, met him in private.) So he accepted Islam, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to perform ghusl (ritual bath) with water and lote tree (berry) leaves.
