كِتَابُ: الصَّلَاةِ

(21) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِتَبْكِيرِ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ فِي يَوْمِ الْغَيْمِ، وَالتَّغْلِيظِ فِي تَرْكِ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ.
Chapter 21: Command to pray Asr early on cloudy days, and stern warning against missing Asr
Hadith Number: 336
نا احمد بن عبدة الضبي ، اخبرنا ابو داود ، نا هشام ، عن يحيى بن ابي كثير ، ان ابا قلابة ، حدثه، ان ابا المليح الهذلي ، حدثه، قال: كنا مع بريدة الاسلمي في غزوة في يوم غيم، فقال: بكروا بالصلاة، فإن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من ترك صلاة العصر احبط عمله" . نا الحسين بن حريث ابو عمار ، نا النضر بن شميل ، عن هشام صاحب الدستوائي، عن يحيى ، عن ابي قلابة : بهذا مثله، غير انه قال:" فقد حبط عمله"
Hazrat Abu Mulaeeh Huzali (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that we were with Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) in jihad on a cloudy day, so he said, "Offer the (Asr) prayer quickly, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Whoever abandons the Asr prayer, his deeds are wasted.'" Imam Sahib Hussain bin Hurayth narrates with the same chain as mentioned above, with the difference in these words: «فقد حبظ عمله» "then his deeds are rendered void."
