جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ

(47) بَابُ ذِكْرِ تَبَاعُدِ الشَّيْطَانِ عَنِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ عِنْدَ أَذَانِهِ وَهَرَبِهِ كَيْ لَا يَسْمَعَ الْأَذَانَ
Chapter 47: Satan fleeing from the muezzin when he calls the adhan
Hadith Number: 392
نا الحسين بن عيسى البسطامي ، نا انس بن عياض ، عن كثير بن زيد ، عن الوليد بن رباح ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إذا سمع الشيطان الاذان بالصلاة ادبر، وله ضراط حتى لا يسمعه"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When Satan hears the call to prayer (adhan) for the prayer, he turns his back and flees while passing wind, so that he does not hear the adhan."

Hadith Number: 393
نا يوسف بن موسى ، نا جرير ، وابو معاوية ، واللفظ لجرير، عن الاعمش ، عن ابي سفيان ، عن جابر ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" إن الشيطان إذا سمع النداء بالصلاة، ذهب، حتى يكون مكان الروحاء" . قال سليمان: فسالته عن الروحاء، فقال: هي من المدينة على ستة وثلاثين ميلا
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When Satan hears the call to prayer for Salah, he goes away until he reaches the place of Rauha." Sulaiman says that I asked (my respected teacher Abu Sufyan), "Where is Rauha?" He replied, "It is at a distance of thirty-six miles from Madinah Munawwarah."
