Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ
Chapters on Adhan and Iqamah
(49) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِالْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ، وَإِنْ كَانَا اثْنَيْنِ لَا أَكْثَرَ
Chapter 49: Command to call the adhan and iqamah while traveling, even if only two people

بذكر خبر لفظه عام مراده خاص
The narration in this regard whose wording is general but its meaning is specific.

Hadith Number: 395
نا عبد الله بن سعيد الاشج ، نا حفص يعني ابن غياث ، نا خالد الحذاء ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن مالك بن الحويرث ، قال: اتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم انا ورجل، فودعنا، ثم قال: " إذا سافرتما وحضرت الصلاة، فاذنا واقيما، وليؤمكما اكبركما" . قال الحذاء: وكانا متقاربين في القراءة
Sayyiduna Malik bin Huwairith (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I and another man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave us permission to leave, he said: "When both of you travel and the time for prayer comes, then give the adhan and the iqamah, and the one who is older among you should lead you in prayer." Khalid Hadhdha says: We both were equal in the recitation of the Qur'an.

نا سلم بن جنادة ، نا وكيع ، عن سفيان ، عن خالد الحذاء ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن مالك بن الحويرث ، قال: اتينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم انا وابن عم لي، فقال: " إذا سافرتما، فاذنا واقيما وليؤمكما اكبركما"
Sayyiduna Malik bin Huwairith (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that my cousin and I presented ourselves in the noble service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So (at the time of farewell) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When both of you travel, give the adhan and say the takbir, and let the elder of you lead the prayer."
