Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ
Chapters on Adhan and Iqamah
(57) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِأَنْ يُقَالَ مَا يَقُولُهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا سَمِعَهُ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ، بِلَفْظٍ عَامٍّ مُرَادُهُ خَاصٌّ
Chapter 57: Command to repeat what the muezzin says when hearing the adhan, with a general wording but a specific meaning
Hadith Number: 411
نا عمرو بن علي ، نا يحيى بن سعيد ، نا مالك ، نا الزهري . ح وحدثنا عمرو بن علي ، نا عثمان بن عمر ، نا يونس بن يزيد الايلي ، عن الزهري . ح وحدثنا يونس بن عبد الاعلى ، اخبرنا ابن وهب ، اخبرنا مالك بن انس ، ويونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عطاء بن يزيد الليثي ، عن ابي سعيد الخدري ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا سمعتم المنادي فقولوا مثل ما يقول"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you hear the mu'adhdhin (calling the adhan), then say as he says."

Hadith Number: 412
نا ابو هاشم زياد بن ايوب ، حدثنا هشيم ، اخبرنا ابو بشر ، عن ابي المليح ، عن عبد الله بن عتبة بن ابي سفيان ، عن عمته ام حبيبة بنت ابي سفيان ، قالت:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، إذا كان عندها في يومها فسمع المؤذن يؤذن، قال كما يقول المؤذن حتى يفرغ"
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Habibah bint Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with her), she says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was present in her house on her turn and heard the muezzin giving the adhan, he would say just as the muezzin said until he (the muezzin) finished (the adhan).

Hadith Number: 413
نا بندار ، نا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي ، وبهز بن اسد ، عن شعبة ، عن ابي بشر ، عن ابي المليح ، عن عبد الله بن عتبة ، عن ام حبيبة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" كان يقول كما يقول المؤذن حتى يسكت المؤذن"
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say (the words) just as the muezzin said, until the muezzin would finish (the adhan and) become silent.
