جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ

(142) بَابُ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ الْإِمَامَ إِذَا جَهِلَ فَلَمْ يَقُلْ آمِينَ أَوْ نَسِيَهُ كَانَ عَلَى الْمَأْمُومِ-
Chapter 142: Evidence that if the imam forgets to say "Ameen", the follower should still say it
Hadith Number: Q575
إذا سمعه يقول ولا الضالين عند ختمه قراءة فاتحة الكتاب- ان يقول: آمين. إذ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قد امر الماموم ان يقول: آمين، إذا قال إمامه: ولا الضالين، كما امره ان يقول آمين إذا قاله إمامه.
It is necessary for the follower that when he hears the Imam reciting (wa la ad-dallin) at the end of Surah Al-Fatihah, he should say Ameen—because the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم has commanded the follower to say Ameen when his Imam recites (wa la ad-dallin), just as the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم has commanded the follower to say Ameen when the Imam says Ameen.

Hadith Number: 575
نا محمد بن عبد الاعلى الصنعاني ، وعمرو بن علي ، قالا: حدثنا يزيد وهو ابن زريع ، انا معمر ، عن الزهري ، عن سعيد بن المسيب ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا قال الإمام: غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين سورة الفاتحة آية 7، فقولوا: آمين، فإن الملائكة تقول: آمين، والإمام يقول: آمين، فمن وافق تامينه تامين الملائكة غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه" . هذا حديث الصنعاني
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the Imam recites «غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ» , you should say Ameen. Indeed, the angels also say Ameen and the Imam also says Ameen. So, whoever's Ameen coincides with the Ameen of the angels, his previous sins are forgiven." This is the narration of San‘ani.
